A Belarusian citizen driving a Polish-registered BMW X5 arrived at the Krakivets BCP to leave Ukraine by “green corridor”.
A Belarusian citizen driving a Polish-registered BMW X5 arrived at the Krakivets BCP to leave Ukraine by “green corridor”.
Given the warning of risk indicators, law enforcement officers decided to inspect the car more thoroughly.
During a deep inspection, border guards together with customs officers found hidden cigarettes. The tobacco products were hidden in a specially made hiding place between the sills and the frame in the bottom of the car.
In total, the inspection team obtained 590 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps from the hiding place.
As a result, instead of illegal side earning, the 28-year-old foreigner lost both tobacco products and a 2004 vehicle confiscated by customs.
